Snow chains must only be used on the front wheels, also applies to AWD. Use Volvo original snow chains that are adapted to the correct car model, tire and wheel sizes. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to wheel housings etc. The advantage of this type of chain is that it is much easier to fit in the dark or when the car has become stuck. The chain is not installed on the inside of the tire and so does not affect the steering, suspension or brake system. Technical Data
